Every human being lives at a frontier between a barely knowable present and a very unknown future.
Even the most stable of structures will eventually fall.
Every pattern is a generalization that pales in comparison to the details.
All data contains just a tiny fragment of truth.
All forecasts are fallible.
The ability to reside with presence, awareness, compassion, and skill in the face of the unknown is a rare and critical skill that cannot be taught but can be practiced and learned.
Our most in-depth public training, Soul and Spirit in Leadership, relies on wild-nature, community, and nature-based perspectives on change and renewal to practice thriving, and leading, in the unknown.
For the second year, we will be gathering in the Owyhee Canyonlands of Eastern Oregon. The canyon walls, expansive wildness, fall light, and diverse human community will be our primary teachers.
Your guides will lead explorations in
Conflict and Shadow ("sinister" and "golden"):
Identifying obscured relational dynamics (shadow) in yourself and groups
Leading through tension and uncertainty
Facilitating transformational conflict exploration
Working with emotional tension in groups to cultivate greater trust and group cohesion
Mirroring and Mentoring:
Mirroring and co-mentoring for mutual-empowerment
Re-discovering personal and collective vision
Skills for guiding individuals and groups toward purpose and potential
Nature connection for collectives:
Nature-based and psychological models of personal and collective development and change.
Contemporary rites of passage for individuals and groups
Marking transitions and thresholds for individuals and groups
Our time together will include ample time in listening circles, experiential learning time, shared meals, plenty of free time (for rest, exploring the Owyhee river and canyonlands, or sharing in the company), and a 24-hour solo (optional) on adjacent privately owned wilderness land.
The only pre-requisite for this program is Foundations: The Listening Circle, which is available online or in person. Occasional exceptions are made. Reach out to us if you have questions.

Sliding scale pricing: based on a self-assessment of need and generosity to support lower-priced options for others.

Includes on-site camping, with full kitchen, internet, bathroom, and shower. Does not include food.
Indoor lodging is available but very limited. Let us know if you would like this option. The cost will be based on available options.
